EUROFLEET2 General Assembly
Gathering more than sixty scientists and research fleets operators from all European eco-regions, the GA Meeting of the European project EUROFLEETS2 is currently being held in Rome, Italy, at the invitation of the National Research Council (CNR).

The Deadline for Application has been extended until the 20 JANUARY 2014. A preparatory workshop for the EUROFLEETS2 ship-time Calls, organized within the EUROFLEETS2 programme, will be held in Tallinn, Estonia from 18th to 20th February 2014. EU study on the economic value of improved ocean data
A new study has highlighted how better access to interoperable marine data can support growth in the blue economy by stimulating innovation and reducing uncertainty in knowledge of the sea’s behaviour. A brief summary showing how it could contribute to better design of aquaculture cages, management of coastal erosion, protection of subsea cables and navigational safety is also available. EUROFLEETS: Final Conference
The EUROFLEETS consortium (24 institutions from 16 countries) had its Final Conference on the 13th. After 4 years of intensive work innovative results were shared with all interested actors in the optimisation, development and usage of marine research infrastructures.
